The Paper Planes Journal is a student-driven children's magazine featuring over 60 pages of stories, poems, interviews, and articles on travel, art, gaming, food, and mental health. Designed to be read, shared, and carried anywhere, this magazine celebrates curiosity, creativity, and student voices. This issue includes whimsical fiction, thought-provoking poetry, a special interview with Sayantani DasGupta, a tribute to Jane Goodall and the work on chimpanzee conservation, and features Chinmaya Vidyalaya, New Delhi. Not to mention brilliant reviews on books, music, songs, art, and more!

Who is the magazine for?
Anyone over the age of 10 – middle graders and those with curious minds and hearts who Paper Planes is a lively, teacher-approved magazine for middle graders (ages 10–14) that turns reading into making. Each issue pairs richly illustrated stories and global voices with ready-to-teach lesson plans, hands-on creative prompts and classroom games — and we offer school packs (teacher kit + workshop options and bulk pricing) to make adoption effortless.

What is inside each issue?
Illustrated fiction, thoughtful nonfiction, book & film criticism, craft projects, and curated short literary translations by both young and adult creators.
How much does it cost?
Single issue: ₹250. Yearly subscription (6 issues): ₹1,500. School pack (10 copies + teacher kit + workshop): ₹2,000.
When will I receive my issue?
Issues ship roughly once every two months. Shipping time depends on the city.
Can I gift a subscription?
Yes, select a different address at checkout, enter the recipient’s information, and make sure to include “Gift Order” in the order notes section.
Is there a teacher curriculum?
Yes — each issue includes accompanying teacher notes and a 45-minute lesson plan. School packs include an online workshop along with necessary materials.

Can my child write for the magazine?
Absolutely. Every submission we receive goes through a dedicated selection and editorial process. Please submit your work via email, and we will consider it for publication.
